California Bank & Trust seeks a driven Business Banker to manage and grow a portfolio of medium-sized commercial clients in the San Diego area. The role focuses on deepening existing relationships while proactively sourcing new business opportunities from Del Mar, Carlsbad, Downtown San Diego or Kearny Mesa offices.

You will be responsible for deposits growth, loan structuring, and providing trusted advisory services, with a track record of meeting revenue and client-satisfaction targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance or related field; 4+ years of credit-related lending or related experience.
• Strong business development skills are required.
• Knowledge of lending and credit analysis in a commercial lending environment.
• Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross-sell bank products.
• Familiarity with sales, loan processing and closing processes.
• Interviews and perceptive character judgment are needed.
• Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Manages a small commercial portfolio.

Responsabilités

• Grow, retain, and expand a portfolio of existing Business Banking clients.
• Source new customers through referrals.
• Cross-sell banking products to drive deposit growth.
• Reach out to clients and prospects via calls, referrals and networking.
• Recommend optimal financial solutions as a trusted advisor.
• Meet revenue goals for the region and products.
• Visit client locations regularly to build deeper relationships.
• Develop and execute relationship plans for each client.
• Handle client requests and refer to appropriate resources.
• Meet or exceed key performance metrics such as growth, profitability and satisfaction.
