Job Title: Business Analyst - Concur implementation

Location: fully remote but prefer candidate in the NY/NJ area

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a strategic initiative to consolidate 14 Concur instances into a single enterprise-wide travel and expense management platform.

This role will be instrumental in gathering and analysing requirements, documenting current configurations, collaborating with business and technical teams, and supporting solution design and implementation.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Concur, particularly in multi-entity environments, and a strong ability to bridge business needs with technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis

• Conduct detailed requirements elicitation sessions with stakeholders across finance, HR, procurement, and IT.
• Document business needs through BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows.
• Analyze and map current-state configurations and business processes across 14 existing Concur environments.
• Identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for standardization.

2. Concur Platform Expertise

• Leverage deep understanding of Concur’s Travel, Expense, and Invoice modules to provide input on design and process improvements.
• Analyze system usage, data structures, and reporting needs to inform the consolidation approach.
• Recommend configuration and workflow enhancements based on best practices.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the liaison between business users and the implementation team.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to validate requirements and solutions.
• Ensure business needs are consistently represented through design, development, and testing phases.

4. Solution Design and Implementation Support

• Contribute to the target-state solution design ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Assist with testing, data validation, and issue resolution during UAT.
• Support documentation and training efforts for business users.

5. Project and Risk Management Support

• Assist the Project Manager with task tracking, risk identification, and reporting.
• Monitor progress against deliverables and escalate issues proactively.
• Support overall program governance and compliance to timeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with hands-on experience in Concur implementation or consolidation projects.
• Deep knowledge of Concur Travel, Expense, and related workflows and configurations.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable specifications.
• Strong facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience working across business units and with technical teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Visio is a plus.
• Exposure to project management methodologies (Agile or Waterfall) is preferred
