Job summary

Agility Partners is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery and continued enhancement of an enterprise finance and accounting application in an SAP S/4HANA environment. You will work across business and technology teams to ensure new functionality is clearly defined and aligned with business outcomes.

This hands-on role covers the full software delivery lifecycle, from discovery to implementation, focusing on complex ERP changes and cross-functional collaboration with finance

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role.
• Experience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, or comparable ERP platform.
• Background in finance or accounting applications and processes.
• Strong ability to elicit, analyze, document, and clarify requirements.
• Hands-on creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum delivery environments and SDLC involvement.
• Experience supporting testing, UAT, and production readiness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and Product Owners to understand objectives and user needs.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements for proposed changes.
• Break complex needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery.
• Support SAP S/4HANA product across finance-related modules and processes.
• Participate in discovery, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and Agile activities.
• Coordinate with developers and QA to address questions and issues during development.
• Support functional testing and UAT, ensuring delivered solutions meet requirements.
• Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities to improve processes and systems.

About The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as a hands-on partner to business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, and quality assurance teams. You will clarify business needs and translate them into actionable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation. You will participate throughout the software delivery lifecycle, from discovery and backlog refinement through development, testing, user acceptance, and implementation.
This position is focused on product delivery and complex enhancements, rather than primarily on application support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working within a large-scale ERP environment, navigating finance and accounting processes, and helping cross-functional teams reach a shared understanding of what a solution needs to accomplish. You will also help identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities to improve business processes and system functionality.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a closely related role is preferred.
• Experience working with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, or a comparable enterprise resource planning platform.
• Background supporting finance or accounting applications and related business processes.
• Strong experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and clarifying business and functional requirements.
• Hands-on ability to create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments and participating in relevant team ceremonies.
• Demonstrated involvement across the software development lifecycle, including testing and implementation.
• Experience supporting user acceptance testing, functional testing, defect resolution, or production readiness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly to business and technical audiences.
• Ability to build productive working relationships and manage details across multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Experience with SAP Finance, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record-to-Report, or Procure-to-Pay is an advantage.
• Experience with ERP implementations, system transformations, significant enhancements, or product development is also beneficial.

• Contribute to implementation readiness and help ensure changes deliver their intended business outcomes.
