Job summary

Willow Valley Communities is seeking a Full-Time Vehicle Care / Bus Driver (CDL Required) to safely transport Residents and Guests and keep our fleet in top condition. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and exceptional service within a supportive community.

Primarily day shifts, Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends. CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement is required; prior bus driving experience is preferred. Competitive benefits and PTO are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, dependable transportation for residents and guests.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and fuel/clean vehicles as required.

Wage

$19.00/hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

As a Vehicle Care / Bus Driver, you will provide safe, dependable, and courteous transportation while helping maintain our fleet in excellent condition.

Responsibilities include:

• Obeying all state driving laws and complying with CDL regulations
• Driving in a professional and courteous manner that reflects the values of Willow Valley Communities
• Assisting passengers, as needed, when entering and exiting vehicles
• Securing passengers' wheelchairs according to established policies and procedures, including lap and shoulder restraints prior to vehicle movement
• Responding appropriately to emergencies that may occur while operating a vehicle, including fire, illness, or accidents
• Inspecting bus interiors after passenger unloading for lost items and removing trash
• Refueling Transportation Department vehicles and performing preventative maintenance, including:Replacing windshield wiper blades, Maintaining proper tire pressure, Checking and refilling vital fluidsWashing and vacuuming vehicles
• Delivering and picking up departmental vehicles from local maintenance and repair facilities
• Maintaining vehicle maintenance logs
• Utilizing general knowledge of advanced vehicle systems, such as vehicle leveling air bag systems, to troubleshoot issues and communicate concerns to mechanics outside of WVC

What You'll Bring

• CDL Class B License with Passenger (P) Endorsement (Required)
• Less than a high school education; or 3 to 6 months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior bus driving experience strongly preferred
• A strong commitment to safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service

Schedule & Hours

• Full-Time: 36 to 40 hours per week
• Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday
• Occasional evenings and weekends as needed
