Job summary

The Avalon of Commerce Township in California seeks a hospitality-focused Driver to transport residents to grocery store, outings and extended trips; assist with housekeeping as needed.

Responsibilities include driving van/bus/car on schedule, helping residents on/off, loading groceries, coordinating vehicle maintenance, cleaning the vehicle, and supporting a culture that drives occupancy and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six (6) months experience as a bus/van driver required.

Responsibilities

• Drive van, bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
• Assist Director of Life Enrichment or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
