Job summary

Wyndemere Senior Living in Wheaton, IL is seeking a hospitality focused Bus Driver to transport residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips. You will assist residents on and off the vehicle and may perform light housekeeping as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, minimum six months driving experience, and a CDL with Passenger Endorsement is strongly preferred. This is a full-time daytime shift with occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

Wyndemere is recruiting for a hospitality focused Bus Driver to join our team! This position is responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips as scheduled; assists in performing cleaning and maintenance duties as required.

Compensation: $19-21 per hour based on experience, Medical/Vision/Dental Insurance within 30 days of hire, 18 days per year PTO, 5 guaranteed sick days

Shifts: Full-time, Monday-Friday, daytime shift: occasional evenings/weekends as needed

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Driver:

• Drive van, bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs;
• Help with assisting residents on and off bus/van, with or without a wheelchair lift, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash vehicle.
• May perform housekeeping functions as directed.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current CDL with Passenger Endorsement strongly preferred
• Minimum six (6) months experience as a bus/van driver required
