The Bursar Assistant is a pivotal member of the Bursar's Office within the Administration & Finance Division, reporting directly to the Bursar. This position serves as a primary point of contact for student financial accounts and is responsible for the assistance with accurate billing, collection, and reconciliation of tuition, housing, and related fees for Undergraduate, Graduate, and Continuing Education programs. In support of the Bursar Team the Assistant will provide exceptional customer service by advising students, families, and other constituents on student account matters, payment options, billing procedures, and institutional policies. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate complex financial information with professionalism, empathy, and discretion. The ability to work independently on overarching and often competing projects is a necessity. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to supporting student success through accurate financial account management and responsive service.
