Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Bulk Sales Support Specialist in Elk Grove Village, IL. This role supports our bulk gas business across commercial, operational, financial, and contractual areas, acting as a bridge between sales, operations, and project management to ensure outstanding customer experiences.

You will coordinate with Midwest teams, review documents, and leverage SAP, PROS, BW, Salesforce, and BI tools to keep installations, pricing, and billing accurate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business/finance management work experience welcome.
• 2+ years related experience in bulk and package gas or related energy industry appreciated.
• Understanding of commercial operating and contracting principles.
• Thoughtful analytical approach.
• Experience working across functional business units to develop effective solutions that align with company and department objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in platforms including SAP, Business Warehouse, PROs, and Salesforce welcomed.
• Working knowledge of the Google Suite of products including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
• Fundamental understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting practices.
• Ability to balance diverse priorities and workflow needs effectively.
• Experience in project planning and management, including elements of scope, timing, budget alignment, risk mitigation, quality, integration, procurement, and team communications.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial, operational, financial, contractual, and admin aspects of bulk gas business.
• Serve as a connector among sales, operations, and project management for Midwest Bulk Gas customers and prospects.
• Coordinate with Midwest Bulk Sales Specialists for efficient fulfillment of requests, billing questions, product usage data, contracts.
• Coordinate and nurture documents and databases, including Salesforce, Bulk contract database, and Google Drive.
• Track and support all new installations, removals, and key projects with cross-functional teams to ensure proper billing.
• Participate in Project Review Meetings to support installations and removals, ensuring smooth Term Management and Billing implementation.
• Develop and maintain a central resource to manage service installation data and paperwork for accurate billing.
• Gather data from SAP, PROS, BW to empower sales, operations, finance, pricing, and support teams.
• Maintain data accessibility from BI resources including Salesforce, Google Drive, and Power BI.
• Other duties as assigned.
