Job summary

DSJ Global seeks a Transportation & Logistics Manager to own bulk liquid transportation for a key North American business. You will lead routing, dispatch, and carrier management in a growing logistics function. Report to a senior leader with extensive admixtures experience and build scalable, cost-efficient processes.

The role includes managing a small Dispatch team and cross-functional collaboration. Travel to manufacturing sites and carrier partners as needed, with exposure to safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation, business, or related field required.
• Experience in bulk liquid or chemical shipments; tanker experience preferred.
• Track record in carrier relationships, rate negotiation, and driving carrier performance.
• Knowledge of multi-compartment tanker operations, load optimization, payload, and axle weight rules.
• Understanding of transportation safety regulations, product compatibility, and contamination prevention.
• Strong data analysis with freight cost and performance data.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership across functions.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for bulk liquid carriers and set service expectations.
• Negotiate lane rates, fuel surcharges, accessorials, and capacity with Procurement.
• Build and manage carrier scorecards tracking on-time delivery and safety.
• Resolve carrier disputes, billing errors, equipment breakdowns, and loading delays.
• Lead routing and dispatch across sites to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Coordinate daily with plant operations, Customer Service, and carrier dispatch.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance (DOT/hazmat), and contamination prevention.
• Develop scalable logistics processes for growth into new regions.
