Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Gas Systems Engineering Manager to lead the Gas & Chemical Systems group. You will oversee all gas supply activities, including safety, operations, maintenance, and projects, ensuring 24/7 reliability and capacity expansion.

The role requires coordinating engineering teams and contractors, driving lean improvements, budgeting, and collaborating with operations and vendors.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in facilities or semiconductor engineering.
• 4+ years leading equipment engineering teams in a large scale manufacturing environment.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the group to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and drive world-class safety performance.
• Oversee capital and capacity projects, including equipment design and options for large-scale systems.
• Drive improvements in equipment and parts management using lean principles.
• Represent the department to external groups and agencies and collaborate with operations/maintenance teams.
• Develop and manage annual expense budgets and support negotiations related to services and projects.
