Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Gas Equipment Engineer to own, operate, and improve specialty and bulk chemical equipment in a high-purity fab environment. This role coordinates startup of new installations and collaborates with operations, maintenance, and construction teams to ensure reliable chemical supply for toolsets.

The position requires a 4‑year degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering (or related); 4+ years of relevant experience; strong technical coordination skills and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering preferred.
• 4+ years of related experience in gas or chemical equipment ownership; semiconductor experience a plus.
• Strong technical skills and ability to represent the group in work coordination and execution.

Responsibilities

• Commission and startup new equipment installations.
• Forecast infrastructure budget and schedule; analyze utilization and capacity; provide technical ownership for supply systems, safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction to resolve.
• Plan and execute non‑standard equipment maintenance to address failures or improvements.
• Coordinate with Fab Engineering groups to support safety, quality, and system reliability.
