Job summary

JLL in Newport, DE is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems in a multi-tenant facility. You will inspect, repair and document performance, coordinating with contractors for reliability and tenant satisfaction.

Evening and weekend work is required to support building operations. A high school diploma and 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience are expected, with safe use of hand tools and climbing at heights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with HVAC control systems.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and work at heights.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Capable of coordinating with contractors and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Inspect and repair building systems and document performance data.
• Monitor readings and maintain documentation for system performance.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Respond to issues to minimize tenant disruption and maintain operations.
• Work evenings and weekends as required to support operations.
