Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer for on-site management of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at properties in Bloomington, MN. The role requires hands-on maintenance, preventive checks and responsive repairs to ensure safe, efficient operation.

You will monitor equipment, perform routine rounds, and coordinate with property management. A minimum of 5+ years in commercial operations is expected, with appropriate licenses and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, gauges, valves and thermostats.
• Verify field conditions and perform repairs or adjustments.
• Perform preventive maintenance per standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Inspect engine room and electrical rooms, replace lamps and signage.
• Respond to emergencies and report activities to supervisor.
• Comply with codes, regulations and safety training.
