Job summary

JLL in New York, NY is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. The schedule runs 3pm–11pm, Wednesday to Sunday. On-site presence is required.

Requires 3+ years in related work and trade/union/military/college education plus universal CFC EPA certification and relevant Certificates. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders; strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Trade school, union, military, or college degree required.
• Universal CFC EPA certification.
• Certificates: Q-01/Q-99, A-35, P-98, S-12/S-13/S-14.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Paint, pressure wash, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work.
• Maintain CMMS and respond to tenant service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency situations.
• Troubleshoot electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training.
• Other projects as assigned.
