Job summary

JLL is seeking a Data Center Operating Engineer for the Evening 3rd Shift to support hands-on maintenance, monitoring, and operation of critical building systems in a union environment. The role requires union membership or willingness to join, plus a background in HVAC or related trades and universal CFC certification.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least four years in building maintenance, with proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and basic electrical tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4+ years in building maintenance; union training acceptable.
• Trade school degree in HVAC or related; Universal CFC certification or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical, electrical and power generation equipment and systems for critical environments.
• Operate systems safely and efficiently per regulations and SOPs; support PM programs.
• Learn building controls, electrical and UPS systems through on-the-job training and documentation.
• Perform predictive, planned, preventive and routine maintenance; complete equipment rounds and service requests.
