Job summary

Thomas Young Group in Denver is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering building system design across residential, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.

You will design HVAC and mechanical systems, prepare calculations and drawings, coordinate with other disciplines, and participate in project meetings to ensure successful outcomes. Opportunities for growth and professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• EIT certification is required or preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or building systems design.
• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Multifamily residential experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical systems for building projects.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and supporting docs.
• Assist with load calculations, equipment selection, and layouts.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings with architects and teams.
• Produce/update drawings using Revit or AutoCAD.
