Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and mechanical systems for complex data center facilities in Dallas. You will support plumbing, fire protection and controls design while performing load, airflow, and ventilation calculations and coordinating construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-7 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience designing HVAC and mechanical building systems.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Data center or mission critical experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience with healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical or industrial facilities will also be considered.
• CFD experience is a plus.
• EIT preferred; PE licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical systems for complex facilities.
• Support plumbing, fire protection and controls design.
• Complete load, airflow and ventilation calculations.
• Support equipment selection and system sizing.
• Develop coordinated construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs meet building codes and engineering standards.
• Work closely with electrical and other engineering disciplines.
• Communicate technical requirements and project updates.
• Continue developing your technical knowledge through training and project exposure.
