Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) invites you to join our Plant Maintenance team as a Maintenance Specialist III at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center. This full-time role focuses on routine, journey-level repairs of building systems and facilities to ensure safe, reliable campus operations.

You will inspect, adjust, install, maintain, and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems, maintain records, and may train others.

Qualificações

• High School diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Must possess valid Texas driver’s license or obtain it within 90 days after hire.
• Applicants must pass background checks and related screenings.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine, journey-level maintenance and repairs on building systems and utilities.
• Inspects, adjusts, installs, maintains and repairs plumbing, HVAC, welding, carpentry, painting and electrical work.
• Maintains records, completes work orders, and may operate heavy machinery as needed.
• May train others and may work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
