Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Mechanical Technician for the Colorado Springs site to execute preventative maintenance on building systems and support essential operations. The role requires strong HVAC control knowledge, safety with heights, and ability to coordinate with contractors to uphold quality and tenant service.

Evening and weekend availability is required to ensure continuous building performance and safety.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience with strong knowledge of HVAC control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools and at heights safely.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and resolve building issues in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to maintain positive public relations with tenants.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously.
• Resourceful team player with collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of building mechanical and electrical systems, performing all required maintenance and repairs including lighting/electrical systems, chilled/heating water systems, rooftop equipment, compressors, boilers, HVAC control systems, and fire alarm/sprinkler systems.
• Monitor and assist contractors to ensure efficient performance of their contracted duties and maintain quality standards.
• Record mechanical readings at regular intervals and maintain accurate documentation of system performance.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program for all life safety equipment and perform necessary repairs to ensure compliance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve building system issues in a timely manner to meet tight deadlines and minimize tenant disruption.
• Maintain positive tenant relations through professional communication and responsive service delivery.
• Work with hand tools and at heights as required to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
