Job summary

CBRE seeks a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems. You will support preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Responsibilities include energy management, incident response, and mentoring junior team members while upholding CBRE’s safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred; Certifications/licenses may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Maintain an energy management program and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with implementing a preventive maintenance program and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation within design capabilities.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across related disciplines; lead by example.
