Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, and related equipment. The role supports hard services delivery within a broader platform that includes ESG and workplace experience services.

The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, ensure compliance with codes, and contribute to energy management while collaborating across teams and shifting priorities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and related systems.
• Ensure building operations comply with applicable codes, regulations and safety policies.
• Maintain energy management program; optimize system performance.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safety procedures for hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building system inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Apply standard techniques to solve complex tasks and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values within the team.
• Help communicate information clearly to stakeholders.
