Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems. You will uphold safety standards, optimize energy use, and support preventive maintenance programs.

The role requires 4–5 years of related experience, physical ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our diverse work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Certification/licensing as required by local/state jurisdictions; Universal CFC preferred.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs, lifting 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire and life safety systems.
• Ensure building systems comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety policies.
• Maintain energy management programs and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Review building systems to ensure operation meets design specs and environmental conditions.
• Share knowledge and coach others across disciplines; lead by example.
• Support CBRE values and work toward consensus in team and cross-team activities.
• Explain complex information clearly to stakeholders.
