Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

The role includes supporting preventive maintenance, ensuring safety and code compliance, and assisting with energy management. The engineer will operate within the Engineering and Technical Services function, applying technical knowledge to keep facilities running efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years related experience
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions
• Willingness to lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs+) and perform physical duties
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic administrative tasks

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety regulations
• Support preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed
• Monitor energy management and optimize system performance
• Follow safety, storage, and policy guidelines for hazardous materials
• Review building inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for operation within design specs
• Share knowledge and mentor teammates within the function
• Support CBRE RISE values and contribute to a collaborative team environment
