Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Building Engineer in Cambridge, MA to maintain building systems, manage tenant services, and ensure efficient operations. The role requires hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management, with on-call availability for after-hours emergencies.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of related experience, OSHA-aware safety practice, and HVAC certification.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent educational certification preferred.
2–4 years as Maintenance Technician / Building Engineer or equivalent field experience required including working knowledge of commercial office building systems.
Comprehensive training and certification in HVAC and other technologies relating to building engineering and/or equivalent job related training and experience.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast paced environment and deal effectively with multiple, simultaneous deadlines and projects.

Responsibilities

Perform and/or oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance and repair of all building and site systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
Monitor buildings systems and energy platforms to ensure efficient operation.
Oversee contractors, inspect work, and generate deficiency lists; complete tenant requests and related records.
