Job summary

TYLin Buildings is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our Rochester, NY team. Responsibilities include structural design and analysis for a variety of buildings, along with drafting, site investigations, and field reviews.

Qualifications include a civil/architectural engineering degree with a structures focus, EIT preferred, and 0-3 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with REVIT Structure and analysis software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (with a focus on structures preferred).
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• Passing of E.I.T. exam preferred.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in commercial/institutional/residential projects preferred.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure preferred.
• Familiarity with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to do the structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Perform field review for projects under construction.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
