Job summary

Jericho Project in New York is seeking a Manager of Building Operations for the JAMS at Melrose Supportive Housing program in the Bronx.

You will oversee all property management functions, ensure safety and compliance, manage rent collection processes, coordinate with vendors, and supervise building staff on site.

Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; at least one year in human services, supervisory experience, strong writing ability, and computer literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; significant experience may be substituted.
• Minimum one year in the Human Service field; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of property management issues including rent collection and Section 8 housing applications.
• Strong writing skills and leadership abilities; ability to supervise staff.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and maintenance at the building; conduct site reviews with Superintendent.
• Supervise maintenance and front desk staff; evaluate work quality.
• Maintain records of building systems; ensure equipment is functioning.
• Attend hearings for ECB, DOB, FDNY, DOS, HPD violations; coordinate with vendors.
• Oversee rent collection and reconcile with Finance; monitor vacancy and rent loss.
