Job summary

KW Property Management & Consulting is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance team in a Florida hi-rise community. You will supervise staff, coordinate with the Association Manager, and ensure timely repairs while maintaining a clean, safe property for residents.

Responsibilities include developing preventative maintenance, reporting on property condition, and driving high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of supervisory maintenance in hi-rise buildings or hotel ops.
• Strong working knowledge of basic trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex mechanical systems.
• Proficient in Word and Excel applications.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Ability to respond to emergencies within 2 hours.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day routine maintenance in a leadership role with the staff.
• Develops and adheres to the preventative maintenance program.
• Supervise building repairs by outside vendors and report outcomes.
• Maintain an operating environment achieving resident satisfaction via feedback.
• Monitor all building systems and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changing circumstances.
• Respond to calls and correspondence promptly and professionally.
• Encourage staff to be professional and follow safety standards.
• Create maintenance reports with property condition updates and recommendations.
• Observe safety standards and support a safe work environment.
• Follow supervisor directions and complete tasks conscientiously.
• Organize time to balance multiple projects and maintain logs.
