Job summary

GDI Ainsworth is seeking an energetic maintenance professional to perform routine and specialized maintenance across buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role includes overseeing repairs and guiding fellow technicians.

You will inspect premises, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with outside contractors. Strong problem-solving, leadership, and MS Office skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in the maintenance field.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Leadership experience preferred (1+ year).
• Ability to coordinate with others and prioritize tasks.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Handle basic repairs and maintenance.
• Perform specialized maintenance tasks as required (heavy machinery, carpentry, roofing, etc.).
• Delegate and direct activities of outside contractors; set priorities and certify invoices.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement fixes.
• Maintain records of maintenance tasks (electronic or paper).
• Plan and direct maintenance operations under supervision.
• Provide training and guidance to team members.
