Job summary

IDI: Insulation Distributors Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative to establish IDI's market presence by identifying, closing, and retaining customers. You will prospect frequently and cultivate long-term relationships to drive growth and success.

Responsibilities include in-person calls on residential and commercial customers, promoting catalog items, and ensuring accurate pricing in a dynamic market. Travel up to 60% is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven sales results in building materials or insulation.
• Minimum 3+ years in sales; insulation/building materials preferred.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop prospective customers and build strong relationships.
• Make in-person sales calls on residential and commercial customers via office and jobsite visits.
• Promote all items within the IDI catalog to potential customers.
• Ensure customers have current pricing and are aware of market changes.
• Timely follow up on all sales leads.
• Ensure paperwork, including credit applications, is filled out thoroughly.
• Submit accurate activity and expense reports weekly; engage customers weekly.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and promote IDI values.
• Promote and support IDI training events to grow existing customers.
• Attend company functions; perform other duties as needed.
