Job summary

Arlington Coal & Lumber seeks an inside sales associate to deliver exceptional customer service at the sales counter and over the phone. You will assist customers with product selection, place orders, prepare estimates, and manage new customer records.

You will coordinate deliveries with the shipping team and assist with loading and unloading lumber and building materials as required. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in retail or contractor materials is preferred.
• Experience with POS software systems (Bistrack or similar).
• Strong communication and computer skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support at the retail counter or over the phone.
• Assist with product selection, purchases, and inquiries.
• Advise customers on building material supplies and related materials.
• Prepare and process material estimates and orders, including special orders.
• Create new customer records and build vendor relationships.
• Estimate delivery dates based on stock and schedules.
• Enter new customer information into the POS system (Bistrack).
• Coordinate deliveries with shipping/receiving staff.
• Assist with loading and unloading lumber and materials as needed.
