Qualifications

• Knowledge of lumber, building materials, or construction supply is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple orders.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and POS or order management software.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in and phone customers with lumber, building materials, and supply product inquiries.
• Generate quotes, process orders, and follow up to close sales.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and retail customers.
• Collaborate with yard and warehouse staff to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize customer value.
• Maintain records of sales activity, customer interactions, and inventory requests.
• Stay current on product lines, pricing, and industry trends.
