Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a downtown Des Moines, IA class B office tower. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems under guidance of the lead/ chief engineer.

This first-shift position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours and weekend work. On-call rotation is required to support tenants and the building owner.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum two years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Positive, helpful attitude at all times when interacting with building occupants.
• Working knowledge of building systems preferred.
• In pursuit ofcertification/licensingrelative to performing work required in building operations.

Responsibilities

• This is a first shift position, with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional after hours and weekend work.
• Replace lamps and/or ballasts as required in a timely manner.
• Perform plumbing repairs, door hardware maintenance and repair.
• Preform painting duties as required.
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems.
• Remove debris on a daily basis; perform seasonal outside duties as required.
• Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition.
• Complete work orders as assigned on a daily/weekly basis.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend rotation.
