Job summary

Ryan Companies Inc. in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and system adjustments under the guidance of the Lead/Chief engineer.

This role serves a downtown Des Moines, IA class B office tower with an on-call rotation. Expect to replace lamps, perform plumbing repairs, painting, irrigation work, and keep mechanical/utility spaces clean while completing work orders daily.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum two years experience in maintenance or related field.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Positive, helpful attitude when interacting with occupants.
• Working knowledge of building systems preferred.
• Pursuit of certification/licensing relative to performing work.

Responsibilities

• Replace lamps and/or ballasts as required in a timely manner.
• Perform plumbing repairs, door hardware maintenance and repair.
• Perform painting duties as required.
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems.
• Remove debris daily; perform seasonal outside duties as required.
• Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition.
• Complete work orders as assigned daily/weekly.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours and weekend rotation.
