Position Description

Position Title: Facility Maintenance Technician

Reports To: General Manager

Direct Reports: None

Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE

Purpose

The Facility Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations, enhancing member experience. The ideal candidate is engaging, diligent, organized, results-driven, and customer service-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate daily updates to the General Manager and document work performed.
• Coordinate with the General Manager to schedule and verify work completion.
• Inspect and test equipment and systems for proper functioning.
• Ensure safety of members, staff, and assets through inspections and communication.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in the CMMS system.
• Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Monitor and test building systems for optimal performance.
• Maintain and refurbish equipment, including assembly and painting.
• Address urgent maintenance issues swiftly.
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and vendors.
• Perform general upkeep tasks like patching, painting, carpentry, and groundskeeping.

Requirements

Relevant experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred. The role is entry-level, full-time, and falls under management and manufacturing functions within the health, wellness, and fitness industry.
