Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform maintenance work in the stores, work with store management to implement new preventative maintenance programs.
2. Responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of company-owned equipment used in the day-to-day business: tools, systems, vehicles, etc.
3. Receive work orders, prioritize work, and follow up on completed work.
4. Handle emergency repairs immediately to prevent property damage and personal injury.
5. Work with local contractors for major repair projects and maintenance programs.
6. Assist with procedures for rapid response to emergency building/system failures.
7. Recommend capital improvement projects to maintain efficient building operations.
8. Assist in implementing minor capital projects.
9. Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
10. Conduct store visits to ensure compliance with maintenance projects and procedures.
11. Educate store managers on the importance of planned maintenance to increase profitability.
12. Participate in surveys of new and remodel projects.
13. Ensure project completion according to standards for criteria, time, cost, and quality.
14. Conduct field inspections on assigned projects and take corrective actions as needed.
15. Provide maintenance expertise to operations and other departments.
16. Support emergency, disaster recovery, and compliance situations.
17. Evaluate best practices and suggest improvements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or GED plus five years' experience in building systems maintenance and construction trades. Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Service Now Call Tracking, and basic iPhone/iPad operations are required.
