Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

1. Perform maintenance work in the stores, work with store management to implement new preventative maintenance programs.
2. Responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of company owned equipment used in conducting the day-to-day business of the department, such as tools, systems, vehicles, etc.
3. Receive work orders, prioritize work, and follow up on completed work.
4. Ensure emergency repairs are handled immediately to avoid property damage and personal injury.
5. Work with local contractors for major repair projects & maintenance programs.
6. Assist with procedures for rapid response and resolution of emergency building/systems failures.
7. Recommend capital improvement projects to maintain efficient building operations.
8. Assist in implementing minor capital projects.
9. Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs & procedures.
10. Conduct store visits to ensure compliance with maintenance projects, programs, & procedures.
11. Educate store managers on the importance of planned maintenance to increase store profitability.
12. Participate in on-site surveys of new and remodel projects.
13. Ensure assigned projects are completed according to standards for criteria, time, cost, and quality.
14. Conduct regular inspections and ensure work complies with standards, taking corrective actions as needed.
15. Provide maintenance expertise to operations and other departments.
16. Respond quickly to emergency, disaster recovery, and compliance situations.
17. Evaluate and recommend best practices, standards, and process improvements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or GED plus five years' experience in maintenance of building systems and construction trades. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Service Now Call Tracking system, and basic knowledge of iPhone and iPad operations.
