Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Building Maintenance Specialist to upkeep interior and exterior systems at the Kansas City Hospice House, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and grounds.

The role involves conducting fire drills, maintaining regulatory documents, and assisting with maintenance at other locations as needed. A High School Diploma or GED and system knowledge are required; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google apps is preferred.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the hands‑on maintenance and upkeep of the Kansas City Hospice House's interior and exterior systems, including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, structures and grounds. In addition, is responsible for the fire drills andmaintaining paperwork for other regulatory requirements. The position is also responsible for assisting with maintenance at other locations, as needed .

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Training in electrical/mechanical/technical buildingsystems and equipment preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year relevant work experience withknowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment used in custodial and building
  maintenance activities required.
• The ability to troubleshoot and resolve various electrical,plumbing, custodial and building maintenance issues/problems required.
• Prior facilitymanagement, purchasing and housekeeping supervision preferred.
• Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite required; working knowledge of Google applications preferred.
