Job summary

AdventHealth seeks an experienced hospice executive to lead operations, growth, and regulatory compliance for our Kansas hospice program. You will supervise staff development, ensure high-quality care, and align all activities with the organization’s mission.

You will report to the board, manage budgets, and drive strategic initiatives to expand services while collaborating with the foundation on fundraising efforts. Strong leadership in a matrix environment is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Health Care Administration preferred.
  • 3+ years hospice leadership experience required.
  • 7+ years in healthcare management or related field required.
  • Previous experience as a hospice administrator preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quarterly reports to the board on operations and finances.
  • Oversee development and training of hospice staff for high-quality care.
  • Manage day-to-day hospice program operations and strategic growth.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and policy implementation.
  • Lead fundraising collaboration with the foundation.

Job Description

Provides quarterly reports on team, operations, finances, and clinical performance to the board. Oversees the development and training of hospice staff to ensure high-quality care and compliance with policies. Manages day-to-day operations for hospice program, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of all agency operations. Leads strategic growth initiatives to expand hospice services and network, including future inpatient unit expansions. Ensures financial viability of hospice through effective budget management and financial accountability. Provides leadership and management to integrate the Mission and Vision of the organization throughout hospice services. Oversees compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including reporting to the Board for oversight and approval. Develops and implements corporate policies and procedures to meet regulatory and legal requirements. Leads the implementation of the annual strategic plan to ensure expansion and financial viability. Represents hospice care in the community and at various speaking engagements. Works closely with the foundation to develop and implement fundraising strategies. Establishes effective organizational structure and directs leadership team to meet organizational goals. Performs other duties as assigned.
