Kapco Metal Stamping in Grafton, Wisconsin is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support our metal stamping and fabrication operations. The role focuses on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of diverse mechanical equipment used in building applications, with strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, routine tune-ups, and coordinate with outside suppliers for major installations.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or mechanical trades is preferred.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and safety procedures is beneficial.
• Forklift and crane training is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment for building applications.
• Completes preventive and predictive maintenance with proper record keeping.
• Performs tune ups, oil changes, tire rotations, belts and hose replacements as needed.
• Coordinates with outside contractors for major mechanical and electrical work.
• Adheres to OSHA lock out / tag out procedures and safety rules.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs appropriate duties in the installation and maintenance and troubleshooting diagnosis of a variety of mechanical equipment for building applications
• Completes preventive and predictive maintenance on schedule with appropriate record keeping including small engines on forklifts and company cars
• Perform tune ups, oil changes, tire rotations, belts and hose replacements as needed
• Partners with outside suppliers contracted to do major mechanical and electrical installations and repair
• Understands and appropriately uses OSHA lock out / tag out requirements
• Follows all safety procedures and provides the guidance and enforcement of safety procedures and practices
• Forklift and Crane training required
• Other duties as assigned
