Kapco Metal Stamping in Grafton, WI is seeking a Sr. Estimating Engineer to join our growing team.

You will interpret engineering documents, prepare accurate quotes, and collaborate with customers to resolve cost and specification questions. You will analyze data from drawings, change orders, and specifications, advise on feasible, cost-effective processes, and support continuous improvement across coating, assembly, and machining operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret drawings, technical manuals and specifications.
• Experience providing quotes and estimating product costs.
• Collaborates with customers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering documents such as drawings, manuals and specifications.
• Examine documents (blueprints, drawings, change orders, specifications) for completeness and accuracy.
• Confer with originators/experts or customer liaison to resolve discrepancies and implement changes.
• Serve as customer liaison and report customer concerns.
• Determine costs of processing products and provide quote information for customers.
• Investigate problems and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain awareness of coating techniques and assembly processes.
• Recommend cost-saving or quality-improving alternatives.
• Enter data and maintain related files.
• Participate on improvement teams as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Interpret engineering documents such as drawings, technical manuals and technical specifications
• Examine documents (blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications) and verify completeness and accuracy of data
• Confers with document originators and technical experts, and or customer's engineering liaison personnel, resolves discrepancies and implements required changes
• Serves as customer liaison and reports customer concerns
• Determines costs of processing products and provides quote information for customers
• Investigates problems and initiates effective measures for their solution
• Maintains an awareness of developments and technologies in the area of coating techniques, assembly processes and material control
• Provides recommendations regarding feasibility of using alternative approaches, modifying or replacing processes to reduce costs or improve quality
• Enteres data and maintains related files
• Participates on improvement teams, as needed
• Other duties as assigned
