Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer for PM shifts at The Unbound Collection Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix, AZ. You will handle preventive maintenance, respond to guest requests, and support pool and facility systems to ensure safety and comfort.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in maintenance, knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing, and strong troubleshooting. Weekend availability and PM shift work are required; benefits include meals and employee room

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on building maintenance or engineering experience.
• Experience in hospitality or resort environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and pool systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Engineering/Facility Maintenance

Hourly/Entry Level Employee

Full-time

Hourly US Dollar (USD) pay basis

Summary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests with professionalism and efficiency
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and resort equipment
• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, chemical balance, and operation of resort pools and hot tubs
• Participate in emergency response and regular safety compliance training procedures

• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or engineering, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Must be available to work weekends as well as PM shifts (typically 2:30 pm- 11 pm)
