Job summary

The Unbound Collection by Hyatt at Royal Palms Resort and Spa seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool systems. You will respond to guest requests with professionalism and support the hotel's safety programs.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of resort maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Weekend and PM shift availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on building maintenance or engineering experience.
• Hospitality or resort environment experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks; indoor/outdoor work.
• Weekend and PM shift availability (2:30 pm–11 pm).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests with professionalism and efficiency
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and resort equipment
• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, chemical balance, and operation of resort pools and hot tubs
• Participate in emergency response and regular safety compliance training procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or engineering, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and pool systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Must be available to work weekends as well as PM shifts (typically 2:30 pm- 11 pm)
