Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role involves rounds, preventive maintenance, and general housekeeping to maintain safe, clean facilities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in building operations, with applicable trade licenses and a strong knowledge of energy management.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; apprentice or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
• Appropriate licenses/permits for trade may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and control systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance per standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Respond to emergency situations and document activities for supervisor.
