Job summary

Tishman Speyer seeks an Engineer Level3 to join the team at our 1730 Pennsylvania Avenue property. The engineer will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and control systems while upholding health and safety standards for tenants and visitors.

This role requires deep technical knowledge in one craft area and broad capability in others. A strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork supports our community‑centric approach and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; five years in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, VAV boxes, water treatment).
• Experience reading blueprints and operating instructions; pneumatics and locksmithing experience.
• Proficient with BMS systems and modern office software; strong safety mindset and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the facility in compliance with government and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and assess safety hazards and risks; document findings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; adjust as needed.
• Upgrade and recommend enhancements to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler and control systems.
• Support incident investigations and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Assist in emergencies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
