Job summary

Tishman Speyer's Franklin Center in Chicago seeks an Engineer to operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment across building systems. The role requires craft expertise in one area (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Central Plant) while remaining proficient in others.

Shift: Friday–Tuesday 11pm–7am, with Wed & Thu off. You will uphold health and safety standards, respond to tenant inquiries, assist Building Management during emergencies, and maintain compliant, reliable building

Qualifications

• High school diploma or state equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of college or related trade schooling.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in HVAC central plant operations.
• Universal CFC Certification, if required by building.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the facility in accordance with applicable government and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, enforce, and assess safety hazards and risks.
• Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Review monthly Service Request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Maintain HVAC and central plant systems to standards.
