Action Property Management, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer II for our luxury association, Savina, in San Diego.

The role oversees all aspects of building maintenance and repairs, develops maintenance strategies, and ensures systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of onsite high-rise or mid-rise building engineering experience, familiarity with building codes, HVAC certification, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

3+ years of onsite high-rise or mid-rise building engineering experience.
Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Building Code; HOA experience is a plus.
HVAC certification and EPA/608 license preferred.
Fire Pump certificate and Fire Life Safety Director certificate preferred.
California driver’s license and auto insurance.
Hands-on electrical, plumbing, HVAC and painting experience.
Experience in fire system management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team player and 24/7 emergency availability.

Responsibilities

Maintain, correct deficiencies, and repair common areas within the HOA.
Oversee daily building operations and ensure compliance with HOA policies and regulations.
Monitor performance of building systems: mechanical, electrical, fire safety, HVAC, water circulation.
Coordinate with external contractors for maintenance and repairs.
Plan and implement preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with General Manager on modifications to building systems and control software.
