Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot building systems across Miramar, FL locations. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to service requests, and ensure safe, compliant operation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

You will coordinate with facilities leadership, assist with preventive tasks, train junior technicians, and monitor equipment readings. A Florida driver’s license and EPA 608 certification are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• A valid Universal level EPA Section 608 certification is required.
• A valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance.
• 3-5 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems; address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, bulbs, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Interact with occupants, contractors, and facilities managers to support smooth building operations.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight.
• Record equipment readings and ensure building systems operate to standards.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE; ensure OSHA/NEC/NFC/NFPA compliance.
• Provide guidance to junior Technicians when needed.
