Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is seeking a Building Engineer for our Miramar Operations Center, responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting building systems and servicing branches across North Broward, Palm Beach, and Indian River Counties.

Key requirements include a HS diploma, EPA 608 certification, Florida driver’s license, and 4+ years in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical expertise. Starting salary is $32.04–$33.93 per hour with a 4% annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Florida driver’s license with clean record required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance.
• 3–5 years of related experience or commensurate certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems and respond to service requests.
• Troubleshoot equipment, escalate issues as needed.
• Replace fixtures, bulbs, filters, and components.
• Maintain records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Interact with occupants, contractors, and facilities managers to support operations.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and contractor oversight.
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies.
• Record readings and ensure systems operate per standards.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE; comply with OSHA, NEC, NFPA; report hazards.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Communicate professionally with teammates, leadership, and vendors.
• Develop technical skills with senior management.
