Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is hiring a Building Engineer for the Miramar Operations Center. You will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot building systems across branches in North Broward, Palm Beach, and Indian River Counties.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, manage service requests, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with facilities leadership and contractors. A strong HVAC/plumbing/electrical background is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• EPA 608 certification required.
• Florida driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections of building systems.
• Respond to service requests and manage safety-compliant operations.
• Replace lighting, filters and other components as needed.
• Maintain accurate inspections and equipment performance records.
• Coordinate with occupants, contractors and facilities leadership.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and contractor oversight.
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies.
• Record equipment readings and ensure systems operate per standards.
• Follow OSHA/NEC/NFPA rules and wear PPE; report hazards.
• Provide guidance to junior Technicians and communicate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior management on technical development.
