Job summary

JLL seeks an Operating/Building Engineer to keep Chandler, AZ area facilities running at peak performance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires coordinating with outside contractors, monitoring readings, and maintaining inventories. On-site positions cover Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe, with a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze MEP and HVAC systems, diagnose issues and take corrective action.
• Working knowledge of CMMS (Corrigo).
• Physical ability to access equipment and work in varying environments.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair facility systems to standards (M/E/P, structural, fire, life safety, and controls).
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, inspect, calibrate, and replace parts.
• Record readings and adjust parameters to ensure proper operation and identify issues early.
• Monitor external contractors' work quality and costs to meet standards and stay within budget.
• Oversee facility services, purchasing, inventory control, and maintenance coordination.
• Check tools/instrument inventory to ensure readiness.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems and ballast replacements.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and drain cleaning as needed.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials and keep a clean workplace.
